Shirley "Kay" Eck is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC#6105) in the state of Florida. She is a Certified Supervisor for counseling students and licensing interns in the state. Kay is also a Certified Human Behavior Consultant. She is married and has two grown daughters. Prior to private practice Kay worked for 18 years at a large faith-based counseling center in Orlando.
There she gained experience counseling a wide range of issues with a varied culture client base. Kay has also worked as a counselor for a teen residential program and a crisis pregnancy center. Before moving to Florida, Kay and her husband owned a construction company where she was able to use her previous business experience and accounting skills.
Teaching is one of Kay's passions. She loves to help people heal and grow. Kay has led multiple groups and classes on life skills and has worked as an adjunct college professor teaching psychology and counseling. In counseling, she combines her vast experience and knowledge base to offer clients a fresh and unique perspective on problem-solving.
