Raising a child with a disability can be difficult, frustrating, and exhausting. At Creative Connections Counseling my approach is to help act as a coach/collaborator for parents by helping support them manage emotional and behavioral issues in a positive manner. I have over 15 years' experience working with children and adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
My special areas of interest include: autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders and behavior disorders. I have extensive knowledge of schools and special education processes. I collaborate with schools and other health care professionals to provide the most effective well rounded treatment for your child. I strive to create a safe, supportive, relaxed environment during the therapy process.
I use a combination of cognitive behavioral, art and play therapy to provide a well-rounded therapeutic environment. Through the development of learning new skills and techniques, children/adolescents can be empowered to deal with the stresses of life, growth and development.

Our family experience with Jen has been exceptional, specifically my son's special needs received the knowledge and caring attention that were critical over the past year.
Jens personal efforts have tied together key players in my sons treatment team to include participating in my son's IEP meetings, frequent communication with multiple teachers & Brain Balance therapy center, sibling counseling and referring a marriage counselor.
In addition, Jen initiated a social group for my son and kids with similar challenges.
