My treatment approach is integrative, drawing from interpersonal/psychodynamic, ACT, CBT and other evidence-based approaches. With my expertise as a guide, we will collaborate to choose the approach(es) that work best for you and your unique needs. I place a strong value on the therapist-client relationship, as it can be a powerful vehicle for self-understanding, growth and change.

I provide a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore themselves, gain insight, and ultimately make positive changes in their lives. I hold a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland - College Park as well as a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Georgetown University.

I completed my doctoral internship/residency at the Catholic University of America. I also completed a number of externships, including at the University of Maryland and the United States Naval Academy.
Services
I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to express themselves freely, increase self-understanding, and make positive changes in their lives.
I create and deliver research-based presentations on a variety of topics, customized to serve the specific needs of your workplace, classroom, or business.
Finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming process.
To make the process more comfortable and to ensure that we might be a good fit to work together, I offer free initial phone consultations (15-20 minutes).
During the initial consultation, I will have the opportunity to learn more about you, your background, and the concerns you would like to address in therapy.
You will also have the opportunity to ask me questions and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.
If we decide to work together, I will explain my process and we will plan for next steps.
This workshop combines western psychology and the eastern perspective, bringing you the best of both worlds.
Anxiety is a normal human emotion that we all experience.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to understand and work with your own anxieties using movement, reflection, and teachings from both eastern and western perspectives.
Michael Peterson will offer exploration and teachings that draw from his background in Buddhism, Yoga, and meditation.
Katherine Ross Ph.
D will offer teaching and healing practices from her training in Counseling Psychology.
