Depth Psychotherapy respects each person's desire to live an authentic, meaningful life. As you learn to listen deeply to and unfold your fears, yearnings, suffering, challenges, and contractions, you become your own guide in the quest for wholeness. Psychotherapy, whether individual, couple, or family, provides a safe space to explore and witness your inner diversity in new ways.

Through the meta-skills of curiosity and compassion, you can develop the life skills that lead to transformation, better relationships, and the strength and resilience to face the inevitable challenges of human life. My childhood landscape was the vast ocean of the Southern California coast. I found solace and comfort in that wildness. I would often swim in the dark cold waters across the bay, or body surf the waves as they came crashing to meet the shore.

When I was 8 years old, I began my years of sailing solo or crewing for others in a variety of small and large sailing vessels, working with the wind and the currents to find my way.

I believe one moment can change the entire course of your life - the key is that the right teachers show up when you're ready.
I can only say this from my own experience.
I feel I slept through my life for the first 40 years looking to find an answer on the outside.
I was taught at an early age that if you work hard enough, stay positive, and block out the difficult - anything is possible.
And yet through those years, there was always this ache inside that all the external accomplishments and rewards could not ease.
This journey of individuation may be initiated through the investigation of depression, anxiety, despair, relational and world conflicts, body symptoms, addictions, loss and grief, trauma, environmental despair, racism, sexism, homophobia and any other discrimination or abuse, transpersonal and ecstatic experiences, and questions related to meaning and purpose.
Dreams, mythic stories, ritual, active imagination, meditation, expressive arts, dialogue, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Process Work are some of the experiential approaches to investigate the deeper layers of the psyche.
