A creative introduction to Jung, art therapy, and working with the unconscious through image-making, dreams and active imagination. Intended to be read by those new to Jung, students of Jung, and professionals in the field. In this uniquely edited book comprised of 15 highly respected authors, a wide range of childbearing related issues are considered through the lens of art therapy.

The various approaches and creative applications invite continued discussions regarding contemporary childbearing issues in the United States. Here you will find information about my services: Jungian analysis, Jungian psychotherapy, Jungian art therapy and Jungian consultations and workshops. As a psychotherapist and Jungian psychoanalyst, I am interested in the unconscious, what is not speakable, knowable, or seen by the world around us.

I care about the internal emotional divide and isolation that becomes maladaptative and leads to various states of emotional darkness, including post-traumatic memories that may present as depression, grief and loss, or panic and anxiety.

Living fully as a human being is an enormous task filled with both joys and challenges.
Then there are times when we are confronted with events that bring about a deep sense of suffering.
These times should not be pushed aside.
Instead, we benefit by creating space for our inner experiences-time and space is rarely possible with friends or family, but can be found in a professional therapeutic relationship that encourages and emphasizes turning inwards and working with unconscious and symbolic material.
Jung developed an understanding of the psyche that values both the personal and the collective unconscious through dreams, images and symbols.
Complexes and individuation are two central concepts of Analytical psychology.
The symbolic nature of the psyche cultivates a meaningful inner experience that becomes known to us through dreams, active imagination, images or art.
Through this work, Jung was convinced of the innate healing nature available to us through our own psyche.
Psychoanalysis is not focused on fitting you into a label or treatment plan, using techniques or resolving goals.
Art therapy is a profession that integrates the fields of art and psychotherapy into a specific approach and philosophy towards psychological issues and concerns.
It is an integrated treatment approach that is clinically rooted and applicable for all populations.
For further understanding of art therapy and the educational training, you can visit the American Art Therapy Association.
Art psychotherapy uses art materials to access your feelings and imagination with intention, force, and a certain amount of spontaneity and abandonment.
My training and experiences as both a Jungian Analyst and art psychotherapist allows me to bring a depth of experience to the problems and issues that concern you.
Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, childbearing issues, trauma, grief and loss, major changes in your life path or simply a curiosity in how to live a more meaningful life, I can work with you to find a deeper connection to your inner world and the innate source of healing that lives within.
None of us live alone and most ideas are not new.
Consequently, finding ways to resource ourselves through our imagination and exercise our personal authority to make choices, and to re-choose along the way, is a radical act of personal freedom and an expression of the individuation journey.
The following pages provide you with some additional resources that may nourish, inspire, or take you to new places in your life.
Also, my ongoing interest in working with groups, creating workshops as well as teaching and lecturing can be found here.
