I hope the information you find on this site will help you to make the best decision possible for you regarding psychotherapy. I understand there are multiple approaches to coping with challenges, improving communication, better understanding oneself, and moving towards better health. Psychotherapy is one tool that can be effective in creating change.

I have developed skills for working with people with a wide range of presenting concerns and greatly value working collaboratively, coupled with gentle humor and empathy, with my clients to tailor therapy to their specific needs and experiences. I firmly believe this process is not only about the reduction of symptoms but an avenue to greater insight, self-awareness, well-being, and meaning.

I work with clients to develop effective, collaborative treatment plans to succeed in overcoming difficulties, changing problematic patterns, managing emotional and physical challenges, and achieving their goals. I am currently FULL at this time. If you are seeking couples counseling, please send me a message if you'd like to be added to my waiting list.
Services
In addition to my private practice, I am currently a licensed clinical psychologist and the group coordinator at Mental Health & Counseling at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
I am a Certified Group Psychotherapist through AGPA.
At MIT, I most frequently lead (and greatly enjoy) the following groups: DBT Skills, CBT and Self Compassion, and Graduate Women of Color Group.
Through my teaching role at other institutions, I have taught graduate level courses in couples and family counseling, advanced clinical practice/professional issues, group dynamics, abnormal psychology, substance abuse counseling, cross cultural psychology, and positive psychology.
Before scheduling an appointment, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to obtain relevant information and to determine therapeutic fit.
I accept all BCBS MA plans only for individual therapy and Tufts University's UnitedHealthcare plan.
Couples therapy is typically not covered by insurance, however, in some circumstances, some BCBS MA plans may cover a portion of couples treatment.
I offer fee-for-service therapy, and accept self-pay and insurance-covered payment from most out-of-network insurance plans.
