What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy treatment is basically a conversation between an individual client or couple and me.
In these conversations, I create a safe environment that allows my clients to tell their story over time.
As the story unfolds my clients begin to better understand the interaction between them and the people involved in their work and life.
As my clients talk, I pay close attention to the words and the meaning behind the words.
I ask questions that elicit information and help promote understanding.

Even if you have insurance, more and more of my clients are choosing to self pay - to forego insurance and pay me directly, out of pocket.
The reason they choose to do this is because they want to protect their privacy and confidentiality.
If you pay me directly, without insurance, I do not need to give you a diagnosis.
Your care and treatment will not be influenced or managed by an insurance company or other strangers.
Instead, you and I will determine the course of treatment and the outcome of treatment.
