Many people are hurting and suffering as a result of long-standing racism in our country. TCS is an organization committed to diversity, inclusion, and human rights. At a time when our community and nation are suffering for so many reasons, TCS wants you to know that we are committed to our community and to all those we serve, and that we are here to provide support.

We are working with local leaders and organizations to find ways to connect, to share time and resources, and ways to bring joy and hope to each other during this challenging time. Trinity Counseling Service (TCS) is a private, not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3), community counseling service providing comprehensive and compassionate care to residents of the greater Princeton area.

Founded in 1968, TCS is well respected for its child, family and adult mental health services, programs and projects. Our unique combination of highly trained and licensed psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors are dedicated to providing effective mental health services to all in need.
Services
Founded in 1968, Trinity Counseling Service has been serving residents and students of the greater Princeton community for almost fifty years.
Originally an outgrowth of the pastoral concern of The Rev. E. Rugby Auer, TCS incorporated as an independent nonprofit agency in 1977.
Since that time, many thousands of individuals and families of all faiths and backgrounds have benefited from our mental health services.
TCS provides individual, marital, family, and child therapy.
In addition, TCS works closely with area schools including Princeton, West Windsor - Plainsboro, Cranbury School, and the Princeton Nursery School to provide mental health and wellness services to our community's under served children.
Trinity Counseling Service is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides licensed professional counseling, wellness and educational services in a safe, welcoming environment to individuals and families facing life's challenges.
To offer appropriate mental health care and referrals to our community, including those who may not be able to afford our services.
Client and therapist review regularly the client's progress to assure the effectiveness of the treatment plan.

Its early roots come from a community outreach program of Trinity Episcopal Church, under the pastoral care of founding director The Reverend E. Rugby Auer.
In 1977, TCS incorporated as an independent, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with a strong foundation of community leaders assuming governance and oversight responsibilities for the growing organization.
Let's face it, life in the twentieth-first century is full of challenges.
We are often faced with life events that are difficult to sort through, and sometimes we are confronted with problems that are too difficult to manage alone.
Relationship problems, work-related issues, parenting challenges, depression, grief, aging parent concerns, and chronic health difficulties are just a few examples of common difficulties that can diminish our abilities to manage activities from one day to the next.

Family counseling is an effective, proactive approach to managing challenges in the home.
Our expert clinicians have many years experience working with family units to overcome difficulties and get on the path to happiness and functioning between family members.
Sometimes, a few sessions with a counselor can strengthen a healthy family at normal stages of development when stress is high and coping skills may be low.
These sessions are intermittent, occurring throughout the life span of a family, and are offered on an as needed basis.
