We have been in continuous operation since 1971 and are a state of Maryland and CARF-certified ambulatory opioid-agonist treatment program.
In addition to the daily medication that helps to eliminate the cravings and illness often associated with opiate addiction, GLCC provides individual and group counseling, case management and peer recovery services, mental health assessments, referrals and some treatment.
Case management services at Glenwood Life Counseling Center are provided by trained people in long term recovery.
The Peer Case Managers work alongside the professional staff in order to connect patients and community members with the many services that are available, but often difficult to find.
Our Peer Case Managers play a very important role in supporting the recovery of patients at GLCC.
For those suffering from a mental illness such as depression or anxiety in addition to a substance use problem, recovery must also include the assessment and treatment of psychological problems.
Trained professionals at Glenwood Life Counseling Center, including a consulting psychiatrist and other licensed mental health practitioners, can help with the assessment, referral and in many cases, the treatment of mental health issues.
