My name is Daniel Gibbons and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Colorado Springs, CO. I am a genuine, kind, and accepting person who has extensive experience providing counseling for a wide range of challenging child and teen issues. Each person I come to know through therapy is deeply important to me and I allow my relationship with clients to guide the process of therapy.
Warmth, genuine empathy, and acceptance are core to who I am as a therapist. I began my counseling career as a therapist at a behavioral health hospital primarily working with geriatric patients. Since 2011, I have enjoyed working with children, adolescents, parents and families as a certified school counselor. My core approach to therapy is relational and person-centered, however I eclectically draw from various therapeutic approaches to help people reach their unique goals.
My wife and I enjoy raising our three children in beautiful Colorado Springs. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, playing guitar, coaching soccer, snowboarding and cooking.
