It is our desire that we become a place where each and every person who enters our office, no matter how big or small their problems are, will feel cared for, safe, and important. Picking up the phone to call a counselor can be scary. There are so many questions that can go through your mind. Will they judge me? Will I have to lie down on a couch?

Will I have to share my private, deepest thoughts with a stranger? What if it gets weird? We get it! It's a hard step. At Abiding Hope, we have gone to great lengths to make counseling one of the most enriching experiences of your life and to take the "weird" out of therapy! We strive to make you comfortable and to feel safe. Everything we do is with you in mind.
Services
I do not consider myself the average therapist because I do not sit around and say "Hmm, tell me more".
Instead, I take a very assertive style and want to encourage you to make changes in your life as quickly and effectively as possible.
You need to want to make changes in your life before I can truly help you.
I usually give homework assignments and expect them to be done.
You see me for 53 minutes to 1 hour, but the majority of the work is done outside of the session with the techniques and tools we discuss during our sessions.
The way we see it around here, counseling from a Christian world view is a process in which the counselor and the client walk together towards the full, free, and meaningful life that God offers through the person of Jesus Christ.
The primary goals are 1) to "reframe" uncomfortable, distressing or perplexing situations into opportunities for healing, growth, change and restoration 2) give some real, practical, doable steps to take and 3) orient people towards a much larger story that is unfolding alongside their own.
Individual counseling allows you to work through a wide array of issues that might be important to you.
Are you struggling in a relationship or marriage?
Are you beginning to lose hope that you can work it out?
Are you considering divorce?
Or maybe you find yourself wishing you'd married somebody else?
If so, couples therapy (or some may call it marriage counseling) might be a good option for you.
At Abiding Hope, we want to help you find real solutions that lead to healing and deeper intimacy with your spouse.
She is patient and understanding and was able to identify and help us begin to address the issues in our marriage.
She knew when it was necessary to push me out of my own comfort zone and focus on self improvement and prioritizing my relationship with my spouse.
She is the type of person that really cares about her clients' well-being, and of the people I have met online, Linda is definitely one of the most genuine.
I look forward to every session we have.
She has been such an amazing supporter to the progress and success I'm seeking in changing my life.
We do not participate with any insurance panels and we are considered out-of-network providers.
Insurance companies dictate clinical decisions such as how many sessions you may have, how long the sessions can be, and demand a mental health diagnosis in order for reimbursement.
We have decided that in order to provide the best care for our clients, we will not participate with insurance companies and not be controlled by them.
Our clients enjoy their privacy and flexibility.
Insurance will only cover face-to-face sessions.
