If you found your way here, you are looking to change in some way. Whether dealing with loss or trauma, anxiety, or just struggling to be more productive and happy, contacting me could be a great place to start. The goals for your time with me are something we'll establish together. From that collaborative beginning, I will develop a plan that we can agree on that will propel you forward.

If you have gotten this far, it is likely that you are ready to make some changes. If you are looking for a psychologist in DC, please do not hesitate to call me to arrange a phone conference. As the relationship is a key factor to successful therapy, our speaking briefly will give you a chance to see if this would be a good fit for you. In my therapeutic work I focus on forming a collaborative alliance with my clients.

Flexibility, openness, and an appreciation of context are guiding principles I use when formulating clinical impressions. I believe the most effective therapy involves clients as active participants in the treatment process.
Services
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
I have a wealth of experience as a therapist and consultant working with a variety of populations and clinical issues.
I have provided services in a military setting, an inpatient hospital, a college counseling center, and in a number of community mental health care clinics.
Additionally, I have helped start a number of organizations supporting mental health serving clients in both the Greater Washington, DC area and internationally.
I have a wealth of experience consulting and providing mental health services and therapies to international populations whether foreign nationals or U.S. expats in areas where there are few psychologists and other English speaking clinicians.
I have spent years both researching this approach to intervention and best practices and have found an ideal platform, one that is easy to use as well as secure and "HIPAA Compliant."
There are benefits and drawbacks to this type of treatment and we would discuss these in detail prior to arranging an online session.
Research finding 83% of the patients suffering from anxiety achieved at least 50% improvement with the Alpha-Stim AID.
The military has conducted ample research with the Alpha-Stim and veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
My office is the only one in the greater DC area to provide the Alpha-Stim in a risk-free trial.
In an effort to accommodate work schedules, I work to be available for early morning and early evening appointments for psychotherapy.
ART is a new form of short-term therapy used to treat children and adults with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
There are a number of different types of psychological assessment that vary depending on the reason for the referral.
Testing is often used to identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
When combined with educational achievement measures, a psychologist can help identify what might be holding a person back in school and provide recommendations for accommodations and for strategies to work towards greater academic success.
Psychological testing can also be used to clarify a psychiatric diagnosis and can serve as an adjunct to one's psychotherapy by providing new insight about personality characteristics and coping mechanisms.
Although I understand that there are many reasons why people often decide to use their insurance, at this time I do not choose to be an in-network provider for any insurance plans.
Payment is due at the end of each session and you may pay by cash, personal check, or by credit card (Visa/MasterCard).
Should you wish to utilize your insurance benefits, I will be more than happy to provide documentation to facilitate this process.
It will help you to check with your insurance company prior to our first meeting to understand your benefits.
