Dr. Lipsky works together with individuals and couples to set goals, examine difficulties and find realistic solutions that provide relief and clarity.
She utilizes a warm interactive approach to treatment and incorporates empathy, honesty, and a sense of humor to create a comfortable environment.
Because the way we think impacts the way we feel, individuals are taught skills to identify, challenge, and modify negative thinking.
In her work with couples, she provides strategies to improve communication, manage conflict, solidify trust and enhance intimacy.
Dr. Lipsky earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at the American School of Professional Psychology (ASPP), Washington, DC.
She also earned a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the ASPP and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado.
Dr. Lipsky graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Indiana University.
She is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Lipsky has over 12 years of clinical experience and has completed extensive training.
Dr. Arango earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the APA-accredited program at The University of Texas at Austin.
She also obtained a Master of Education and a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling with a concentration in Latinx Mental Health from Teacher's College, Columbia University.
Dr. Arango graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Women and Gender Studies, with a focus on LGBTQ+ Studies from George Mason University.
Dr. Arango is bilingual in Spanish and English and has lived in multiple countries.
Dr. Chow earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP), Washington, D.C. campus, an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program.
She also obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from TCSPP, Washington, D.C. campus and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
Dr. Chow has over nine years of clinical experience and has worked in a variety of mental health settings including: a therapeutic day school, public charter schools, multidisciplinary private practices, and outpatient clinics including the Child and Family Therapy Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Dr. Godwin earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C.
She also earned a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, where she double majored in Psychology and Spanish.
Dr. Godwin completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Prince William Family Counseling.
