I work with individuals to improve their relationships, navigate life transitions, and heal from painful experiences. In therapy, you can begin to create significant changes resulting in more work satisfaction, better relationships, and greater self understanding. I work with people of all backgrounds and I have a special interest in issues pertaining to Millenials, Artists, LGBTQ folks, and Women in tech.
My style is warm, engaged, respectful, and collaborative; informed by a socio-cultural lens. My office is located at 1996 Union St. Suite 300 at Buchanan in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco. I offer a complementary 30 minute consultation over Zoom. In this consultation we can get to know one another, talk about fees, address any questions you may have, and assess if this might be a good fit.
If you are using insurance, I will provide you with a monthly statement (superbill) upon request so you can submit it for reimbursement.

Services
Prior to opening my private practice I worked and trained in various counseling settings including a San Francisco LGBTQQIA+ Therapy collective; a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for formerly incarcerated men in Oakland; a high school based wellness center in San Francisco's Mission District; and The Psychotherapy Institute, a community based low fee clinic and advanced training program in Relational Psychodynamic Therapy based in Berkeley.
Over the past two decades through my education, work, and personal life I have pursued an ongoing engagement in culturally critical processes in order to examine and question the concepts of privilege, silence and voice; and to explore the formation of identities through issues such as race/ ethnicity, social and cultural theory, social economic class, gender and sexual orientation.

Through careful listening and encouraging the expression of need and desire; I will hold your feelings in the context of both your past and present life as we make sense of them.
I will work with you to develop a fuller understanding of what you are experiencing.
In the privacy of our therapy relationship, I hope to help you think about, move beyond and learn from emotional pain in order to create more choice and possibilities in your life, and find new and more effective ways of coping with life's challenges.
