People tend to reach out for therapy when they are in transition and ready for change. Maybe you are needing guidance in navigating the way. It takes courage and strength to ask for help. I encourage a warm interactive relationship with my clients. You are invited to share your authentic self in a safe and secure environment. Developing trust is key in the therapeutic relationship and can lead to empowering results.

Are you seeking guidance and direction from a therapist? If so, I can help. Maybe you are feeling anxious or suffering from loneliness and isolation whether it be in or out of a relationship. Therapy can help you to gain insight into old negative beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you. I encourage changing one's inner (critical) dialogue and learning healthier coping skills that can lead to a happier, healthier life.

My couples counseling style is interpersonal and dynamic. I provide a safe space and listen empathetically and supportively while encouraging open, direct communication.
Services
I believe that it is important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist.
Finding the right fit and feeling secure in the space will help provide hope and motivation.
My theoretical approach is based on the needs and goals of my clients.
To listen in a deep, supportive manner providing suggestions when appropriate to meet your individual needs.
In Couples Therapy I also help with communication skills and building trust and empathy.
I am trained in art therapy and hypnotherapy, which I can integrate into our sessions or apply exclusively in either modality.
What exactly is hypnosis and how does it work?
Hypnosis is simply an altered state of consciousness that normally occurs just before entering the sleep state.
We are in a trance many times during the course of the day without even knowing it.
Sometimes while driving when you don't know how you got from point A to point B. That's the trance state.
In therapeutic hypnosis that state is prolonged so that the therapist can work within those boundaries.
In this deeply relaxed state suggestibility is increased.
Art Therapy is a powerful modality that helps you to get in touch with deep feelings through the creative process.
By providing a visual explanation as to what's going on inside the mind, art therapy makes the unconscious, conscious.
The art process taps into a rich inner resource of material where the experienced art therapist can help guide and assist in understanding and healing.
As in dreamwork there are often personal metaphors and imagery from the personal and collective unconscious that provide clues to where conflicts lie.
Addiction/Alcoholism permeate almost every aspect of society today.
We all know someone or have a family member, spouse or are struggling oneself with substances and/or behavioral addictions or compulsions.
Can therapy help?
Absolutely.
Although there are many different theories about addiction, one thing is abundantly clear that it is probably one of the most difficult concepts to comprehend.
Addictive and compulsive behavior effects people on so many different levels physically, emotionally and spiritually often leaving one feeling helpless hopeless, isolated and alienated.
