Psychiatric and eclectic psychotherapist serves a diverse population with an interactive goal-oriented psychodynamic approach. I work with a mind/body connection to help release unwanted behavior patterns and beliefs that serve as blocks to empowerment, self-acceptance and satisfying fulfilling relationships. Individual and couples counseling, etc is offered in the areas of self-esteem, conflict resolution, life transitions, parenting issues, etc.
The focus is on self-discovery and self-actualization in a supportive, interactive and safe environment. I can help you decide on what kind of therapist is right for you. All therapists require different schooling. Backgrounds and areas of expertise vary, as well as licensing requirements which may vary from state to state. We all need help sometimes.
When you need help you want someone you can trust to offer understanding, support and who knows how to help in a supportive, unconditional environment. A psychotherapist interacts with clients to initiate change in the client's thoughts, feelings and behaviors through adaptation via facilitation.

Often times, people create negative experiences without even realizing it.
When one has a negative attitude, it is sometimes projected onto others and/or situations.
If one expects negativity, the likelihood is that it will find it's way into a situation as a "self-fulfilling prophecy."
Some people tend to be negative chronically and others periodically.
For some, when their emotional needs are unmet, they tend to become angry, and perceive that they're out of control with others to blame.
In all instances however, the negative thinker can take control once they take responsibility to turn their negative attitude into a positive one.

All therapists require different schooling.
Backgrounds and areas of expertise vary, as well as licensing requirements which may vary from state to state.
Discipline specialties also may vary.
For example, some psychologists are trained in testing and evaluation in order to properly diagnose and treat a patient with a particular diagnosis such as a learning disability.
Psychiatrists are more specialized in psycho-pharmacology and are the only professionals listed above that are able to prescribe medication.

Q: Will you accept my insurance?
A: I am a fully credentialed and licensed practitioner in the states of New York and New Jersey.
That means that I am fully recognized by all insurance companies as reimbursable for third party payments.
I also accept Medicare in both states.
However, some insurers offer their insured a list of panel members to choose from.
Please refer to the page on "How to Choose The Right Psychotherapist For You" second to last bullet from the bottom, before deciding on whether or not to meet with a panel member.
