Hailing from Miami, Florida, Pam graduated from the University of Miami where she received a BA and an MBA. She then went on to teach high school English and worked in the business world. It took her several years to realize what she loved doing was working one-on-one with students and families. She went on to get her Masters in counseling at Colorado Christian University and interned at an emergency foster care shelter.
She later moved to Asheville where she became a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings. She has lived in several Spanish speaking countries and speaks Spanish fluently. When not striving to keep her family and patients happy and healthy, she's enjoys reading a good book, experiencing different cultures, playing with her animals and experimenting with different recipes.
Pam believes most change occurs in trusted relationships where one feels valued and heard. By offering support, encouragement and affirmation, she hopes to create a safe and compassionate place where she and her clients can explore those family dynamics, life issues and personal choice that make up the client's life story.
