Like you, I've struggled with old emotional wounds and hard to break habits that have inspired me to embark on the path of increasing my self-awareness, self-acceptance, and sense of connection with others. My work over the years as a musician and environmentalist along with my spiritual path have all informed my work as a therapist. I believe in your innate wholeness and value your unique situation, perspective, and path.

I know the importance of creating a safe, secure, and open relationship with you that can guide and support your growth and healing and allow you to explore your creativity, passions, and connection to your inner guide. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon. I completed my internship at the M.E.T.A.(Mindful Experiential Therapy Approaches) Counseling Clinic in Portland, Oregon, where I counseled individuals, couples, and groups.

Along with providing individual and couples counseling, I also teach group seminars for therapists on Overcoming Compassion Fatigue, Secondary Trauma, and Burnout.
Services
My approach to counseling blends Eastern wisdom with Western science.
I draw from therapy and theoretical approaches including Hakomi, RC-S (Re-Creation of the Self Model of Human Systems), attachment theory, existential-humanistic theories, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
Hakomi is a body-centered psychotherapy based in mindfulness that believes that change happens through accessing the interface between our mind and body.
Mindfulness is used to study how we organize our internal experience i.e.
Do you regularly sacrifice your own needs in a relationship to meet your partner's needs?.
Do you wind up feeling angry, resentful, unappreciated, depressed, or anxious because your relationship is so unbalanced?.
Are you very comfortable in the "caretaker" role with friends, family, your partner and feel overly responsible for other's problems?.
Your home was chaotic or toxic due to an abusive, narcissistic or substance addicted parent.
Your parents or caregivers were highly judgmental, critical, inattentive, blaming, or manipulative.
Avoiding conflict with your spouse because you fear nothing will get resolved in your relationship?.
Feel discouraged or helpless because the same types of fights with your partner happen over and over again?.
Whether you're just looking to improve your relationship, or are experiencing more serious problems, I can help.
I help couples create more safe, stable, and intimate relationships.
You can learn to trust and rely on one another to meet your deepest wants and needs.
Unfortunately, most of us did not have the best role-models as children for handling our relationship conflicts as adults in a loving, mature and effective way.
Have you ever experienced or witnessed a life threatening event (i.e. car accident, natural disaster, war)?.
Has the death of a loved one, divorce, or on-going neglect created scars in you that prevent you from moving forward in your life?.
Not all of us realize that we have been traumatized.
Often we can function really well in certain areas of our life like our careers or maintaining our home, but we struggle to have satisfying intimate relationships with others or can't seem to maintain friendships.
If you have out-of-network provider benefits, I can give you a receipt for you to submit directly to your insurance provider to get reimbursement for our sessions.
You are fully responsible for the up-front and ongoing payment of your fees, and I cannot guarantee you will be able to obtain reimbursement.
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
