We have only one ongoing support group currently, on Tuesday evenings at our 15th & E. Burnside office for those in recovery from substance abuse.
We anticipate more support and therapy groups beginning early next year!
We also offer regular groups to support clinicians - peer consultation, professional book studies, networking events.

Without question, therapy is called for when an individual is suffering severe symptoms (depression, anxiety, grief, etc.).
If you are facing life circumstances that just seem overwhelming, that's a great time to find a good counselor to talk to.
Many of us seek out therapy throughout the span of our lives, whenever we're facing particularly difficult transitions, or we're just ready to take the next step in becoming who we really want to be.

Sadly, because of a malpractice lawsuit and Board complaint, I am no longer permitted to practice my profession.
I remain hopeful that I will be able to return to counseling, but that decision is in the hands of the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists.

In Portland, even non-profit counseling agencies rarely charge less than $40 per session, and there are tens of thousands in our community who deserve access to professional mental health care as much as those who are financially stable and/or insured.
