Confluence Clinic
Confluence Clinic is an intimate holistic health clinic in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon, and we have recently expanded to include a satellite location for acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in Jacksonville, Oregon! We have been offering a space for Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Massage, and Psychotherapy to our Portland community for over 12 years.

We invite you to an experience of being seen, listened to, and treated as a whole person whose health and well-being matter. We specialize in those tricky issues, where little seems to help, or where you've almost given up. Where others see limitation, we see possibility, and have dedicated ourselves to helping our clients and patients find paths to health, healing, and wholeness, wherever they are starting from.

All practitioners and staff at Confluence are Body-Positive and LGBTQIA+ friendly. Insurance and motor-vehicle accident billing available. In-network billing for massage available. In-person herbal and acupuncture visits with Kjell, Dr. Durrani, Mac, and Megan are available!.
Services
Greetings from Kjell & Erin Moline, the owners of Confluence Clinic!
First, thank you for your interest in our clinic, we're glad you're here!
We hope you find what you're looking for, whether it is emotional healing, relaxation, belly trouble, or a cold that won't let go.
After meeting over 20 years ago, we discovered a common dream for our life together: to provide a place for healing where we could work together and help others.
8 years later, Confluence Clinic opened.
Now we and the other practitioners at Confluence strive everyday to create a place where our clients and patients can feel supported in health and healing as they navigate life in our busy world.
The "herbs" you'll find at Confluence are special.
During your appointment with Kjell, you will receive a formula based on your pulse, needs, and the wisdom of centuries of Chinese Medicine.
Kjell is an instructor at the Institute of Classics of East Asian Medicine (ICEAM) and has gone through extensive training with Arnaud Versluys, an internationally-renowned Chinese herbalist in order to learn a very specific system of diagnosis and healing.
This training enables him to treat a wide variety of diseases and difficult to treat symptoms very effectively.
Many people have heard of the efficacy and benefits of acupuncture.
For me, Chinese Medicine--Acupuncture and Chinese herbs combined--goes far beyond simple stress relief and pain management, providing a complete, and sometimes seemingly miraculous, system of medicine that treats each person as a whole.
The use of herbs as medicine is the medical standard in Asia, and Chinese Herbs are the heart of my practice here in Portland.
I have mentored extensively with Arnaud Versluys, PhD, L.Ac., founder of the Institute for Canonical East Asian Medicine, to learn this science, immersing myself in a lineage of Classical Herbal Medicine that dates back to the Eastern Han Dynasty approx.
Although massage has been shown to do so much more than "be relaxing", most people still think of bodywork as a luxury.
Getting a massage improves your immune response, lowers baseline stress, and releases all those good chemicals that contribute to lower incidences of anxiety and depression.
The bodyworkers at Confluence all give personalized treatment based on what you are looking for and needing from your experience.
Whether you are looking for something clinically focused, or just want to relax on the table and let go, we're here for you.
At Confluence, we offer a unique opportunity to work with both body and mind.
This can involve finding alternatives to antidepressant medication, support for medication, or other support involving the body.
Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture can be incredibly powerful allies in dealing with acute symptoms of mental and emotional distress.
Sometimes we let things go for for too long, and this can include bouts of anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
As symptoms intensify, it can be more and more difficult to get "above water."
