Net provides college admissions counseling, SAT and ACT prep, subject tutors, and financial aid assistance. We work with students all over the world to select the best colleges for their needs. We provide an in-depth family assessment to understand what students and parents want in their choices for higher education. We work with you alone or in tandem with your school counselor to ensure each student receives ample time and resources to successfully strengthen their college applications.

With a guidance counselor/student ratio in excess of 300 at most public schools, independent counseling has become a recognized and respected way to help students fill the gap in resources. From the Common Application to essays to financial aid, let us make sure you present the strongest admission presence to all your colleges.

We are proud members of the Maryland School Counselors Association, the National College Access Network, the Potomac & Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling, the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling and the Higher Education Consultants Association.
Services
We are totally dedicated to making sure your child achieves academic success.
We work with each student's learning style versus trying to impose a standardized model on how s/he should learn or be admitted to college.
We enjoy working with families and students from all types of cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic status.
All children can develop a love of learning.
Most children want to do well, and when they connect with a tutor or adviser who believes in them, children excel.
Our process begins with an introductory family meeting.
Standardized test preparation.
Test preparation and college counseling are documented areas of weakness that are prevalent in both public and private schools.
Many students are not receiving the support they need through their institutions, due to the high student-to-counselor ratio in these schools.
For example, most public school counselors are assigned about 3-500 students to individually counsel.
That is far too many for a counselor to give any one student much individualized attention.
Few teachers have taken AP, ACT or SAT exams recently; rarely do they understand how to present content in the classroom in ways that match how students will be rigorously tested on those exams.
A meeting with the entire family for a presentation and a questionnaire to help you begin discovering your best college choices or testing options.
We work with students from every socioeconomic strata.
We work with students in public, private, parochial and home-schooled situations, within the United States and internationally.
Students range in interests from undecided majors, to pre-med or pre-law.
They are athletes, artists, dancers and other specializations.
We welcome students who need accommodations, as well as students who have excelled and are bound to the highest ranked colleges in the country.

Net and our College Access Program.
I have spent more than 20 years working in education as a college faculty member, high school teacher, and a director of education at the Smithsonian Institution, where I managed K-12 and university programs.
The photos and testimonials on our website will give you some sense of the range of students I have taught and counseled, the fun we have had, and the support I give my families.
Mrs. Grazette is phenomenal!
My children love her too!
She makes learning fun so students do not feel stressed as they address subjects that are more challenging than others.
Also, I appreciate her sage counsel regarding the myriad of school choices in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Jacqueline is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about preparing her students for the entire college application process, from test prep to college essays and interviews she provides it all.
She not only understands the process but has a broad network of college contacts for additional insights and guidance.
