In a safe and confidential environment, I offer counseling and therapy services to guide you to the best path for a harmonious life.

While living in Hong Kong, I earned my M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from Newcastle Upon Tyne University, Newcastle, United Kingdom.
I earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle, Bellevue, WA, USA.
I have over 15 years of counseling experience both overseas and in the US.
This has given me the advantage of having much cross-cultural exposure which has broadened my view of how people function and view their world.
A counseling theorist once said, "Problems never exist in a pure state; there is always a human being attached to them."

Individual counseling sessions take place at my private office in Cumming, GA or you may choose to use my Tele-Counseling alternative if you live elsewhere in the state of Georgia or Indiana.
I provide a safe place for people to resolve inner conflicts, process life experiences, heal from traumas and examine personal thoughts and goals.
While the thought of going to counseling alone may seem overwhelming, it can be a powerful experience that many people actually enjoy.
My personal approach is to collaborate with each individual to create a unique, custom designed plan to achieve a greater peace of mind, better relationships and a more enriching life.

Have you asked yourself: "Why do I react to my partner like this even though I know it will cause more problems?"
Or, "How do we get into these same devastating arguing cycles that happen over and over again?"
Or, you may have found out your partner has been unfaithful and you want to know how to get through this painful betrayal.
By deciding to partake in couples counseling, you will learn that there are credible reasons for your behavior towards your partner.
You will find out there are hidden, deep-seated emotions such as hurt and fear that are at the core of your reactions.

Taking time for therapy is a bold step in learning new, more functional ways of interacting.
For instance, you can find out that while most of your problems seem to be settled on one individual, it actually involves the entire familial system.
This means the family not only inadvertently maintains the problem but can also function as the means for resolving it.
I provide the guidance and tools for you to see how the patterns of interacting within your family are not working effectively.
It's time for you to learn new, more purposeful ways of living together.

What is the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in understanding how medications for mood disorders interact with the body and other medications you may be taking.
Some psychiatrists may provide occasional therapy but they primarily provide medication.
Psychologists are doctors who specialize in understanding mental health.
They provide counseling and do not prescribe medication.
Should I take medication or go into psychotherapy?
