Are leftover traumas from your past holding you back from living fully? Do you wish you could stop trying to numb out from your negative thoughts, depression, anxiety or addiction? Through therapy, you can learn how to embrace your vulnerabilities and step into the life you want to be living. I am a compassionate and supportive clinical social worker who connects with you to create a safe space to talk about what's happened to you.

Together we'll begin to understand the impact of trauma and shame while practicing techniques you can use to live a healthier and happier life. With over 25 years of experience, I customize your therapy to meet your individual needs using a variety of techniques including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and expressive modalities.

Clients have told me that they leave their first session with a renewed sense of hope. I believe people can overcome their depression and anxiety because I have seen clients do so.
Services
Prior to finding my passion as a therapist, I managed a family business in Lexington Market.
There I learned about the variety of people that make up this world.
I have always been interested in what makes people "tic."
I graduated Towson University Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
In 1993 I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and in 2012 I became an Associate Certified Coach certificate from the International Coach Federation.
Could you use an expert opinion on what you're going through, or a non-judgemental ear just to listen?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you've been seeking.
Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
If you've been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life.
I don't believe therapy should add stress to one's life.
I provide a safe and nurturing environment to help you explore your current situation, understand how your past impacts your present and decrease your symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Therapy will help you take small steps and identify thought patterns to help you move forward.
If you are contemplating a change or struggling with an issue, you can start making positive changes in your life.
I am comfortable working with a variety of clients.
Could you use a non-judgemental ear to listen, somebody who really understands what you're going through?
Do you really need to talk to somebody, but you don't know who would be willing to listen?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then group therapy could be the solution you've been seeking.
Group therapy differs from individual therapy by holding therapeutic sessions in a group setting run by a therapist instead of in a private one-on-one setting with a therapist.
In these group sessions, patients share their thoughts and experiences with the whole group, allowing them to support one another while being supported by a group of people who understand what you're going through.
This ongoing woman's group helps women come together, connect, support and achieve their goals.
In a safe and nurturing environment you will move beyond what is holding you back.
While most of us fear facing our issues, in a group setting we find that we all share the same fears and shame.
Our twice a month sessions will help you unlock your future and release your past.
Helping individuals in their 20s become more social, explore their anxiety and depression.
Share the struggles and joys of becoming an independent individual and creating your own path.
