I have been a therapist in a variety of settings in the last 15 years since graduating from Naropa University in 2007 with my Master's in Counseling in Boulder, Colorado. Since that time, I have become a wife and a mother, both roles highly influencing my work as a therapist. I use my background in art and creative writing, as well as yoga and mindfulness training in my work as a therapist.
I think that looking at the whole person, including their environment, background, family, physical and emotional health is highly important to effectively treating clients. In my spare time, I love dancing, yoga and spending time with my family and friends. My daily minfulness meditation practice is also very important in my life.
I create a safe space to heal through gently facilitating exploration of what is holding you back and what you would like to shift- whether this is feeling more calm and peace in your life, increasing contentment, processing grief and loss, or simply self-exploration.My background in mindfulness and 20 years of yoga practice and training informs my work as a therapist.
