Sunstone Counseling began in 2011 when co-owners Amy Clay, LPC, and George Coyne, LCSW, had a vision to serve the northern Virginia community's mental health needs by providing comprehensive, accessible, and high-quality counseling services.
In their quest to meet the community's ever-changing and diverse needs, Amy and George also wanted to develop and nurture other counselors to create an experienced and dedicated team.
In 2018, Katie Clark, LPC, a trained play therapist, led the charge on serving the needs of children, adolescents, and families and helped open Sunstone's third location in McLean.
