The term narcissistic parenting was first introduced to me in my own personal therapy.
Since then, I become conscious of toxic relationships in every facet of life.
Not only in family systems but in romantic relationships, work place dynamics, and friendships.
I was constantly feeling like something was wrong with me, I needed to be fixed, I would never be enough, and suffered from these negative inner thoughts, and self-sabotage on a daily basis.
As I learned more about Depth Psychology, and found it gave me so much more peace in my life, I wanted to help others find the same.

My name is Elsa Pieterse.
I recently graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelors in Science in Psychology in May of 2020 and proceeded to work in a therapy center for children with autism.
As much as I loved that path and completely respect those with whom I worked, I decided to move on and join Guillaume Marriage and Family counseling so I could merge my love for my faith and for helping others through difficult times in their lives.
As a child of not only an immigrant but of divorced parents, I myself had in my past found the need for counseling and grew up knowing that I wanted to help others the way I myself had been helped through the tougher times.
