I bring to my work a commitment to help people create the lives that they want. Therapy is a co-creative process wherein you and I work together to help you choose what will work for you in your life. The therapeutic relationship becomes a place to heal and remove old patterns of behavior and limiting thinking that no longer help you. Therapy sessions are safe, supportive, and yet challenging.
I incorporate knowledge and skills from different psychological foundations: client-centered, transpersonal, family systems and phenomenological. I understand symptoms as the individual's creativity in dealing with often overwhelming emotional pain. I am trained in a variety of techniques. I received my Doctoral degree from Saybrook Graduate School & Research Center and my Masters degree from Antioch University.
I love to teach and have presented to professional and lay audiences on a variety of topics including self-esteem, eating disorders, stress management, relationship building, parenting, healing for the professional, family therapy, and play therapy for children.
