In our counseling sessions, we'll work to uncover, deconstruct, and heal the limiting beliefs and habits you hold and open to new and more organic possibilities for living. In the field of warm, loving, and nonjudgemental presence, the psyche can naturally unburden itself of past hurts. As we heal, we strengthen our resources. This process can be relational, embodied, and inspiring.

I offer free half hour telephone consultations. Meditation is just a word meaning cultivating the art of being with yourself, in body, mind, and spirit. Based on twenty years of Buddhist training and a deep love of somatic inquiry and movement practices, I can guide you into a fuller relationship with your body/mind and help you develop a practice which brings greater embodiment, emotional coherence, and mental stability.

When appropriate, I incorporate meditation and movement in my counseling sessions.
Services
I came to the practice of mind-body counseling from a lifetime of meditation practice in the Buddhist tradition.
I am fluent in the Tibetan language and have been a professional translator for almost ten years.
My exploration of consciousness brought me face to face with the parts of me that resisted my own freedom.
Spiritually weary and frustrated, I had to double back from the search for transcendence in search of psychological healing and (re)discovering my own wholeness.
To my surprise, I have found the personal and relational healing journey to be tremendously spiritual, and my spirituality has become far more personal and relational.
I am certified in the Hakomi Method of mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy.
My passion is to help you discover who you are--in relation to and yet beyond the conditioning of family and culture.
Life is overwhelming and complex, so as children we often assemble a map of the world and ourselves which limits possibility in service of safety.
It was helpful then, but as we grow up, it proves to be too narrow and confining to allow the fullest expression of our uniqueness in the world.
In our work together, mindfulness - your own natural self-awareness - makes an opening, by which we can slip through the storytelling mind into the wilderness of feeling, emotion, and memory.
