Integrated Physical Therapy and Counseling is a private practice integrating the principles and practices of physical therapy, craniosacral therapy, massage therapy and psychotherapy. We address mind, body and emotion in creating uniquely designed treatment plans based on the specific needs of you, the individual. We understand there are many contributing factors affecting quality of life.

Our goal is to create fluidity and ease as you navigate through these factors so that you may live fully and freely in your highest capacity. Principal practitioner and owner, DJ Horn, masterfully blends traditional physical therapy with the subtle, yet effective, craniosacral therapy and psychotherapy. With deep understanding of the connective and contributing factors, both physical and emotional, DJ treats the whole person, not isolated parts of body or self.

At IPT & C, we offer physical therapy for almost all musculoskeletal pathologies from heads and necks all the way down to feet and toes. Consistent with our philosophy, we treat from a holistic perspective: we treat the whole body and not isolated body parts.
Services
This therapy is subtle, yet powerful, bodywork rendering amazing results.
Through very light touch, we can facilitate the body's natural orientation to self-correct.
Guided by the principles of fluid dynamics, we gently peel away the subtle and connecting restrictions.
Any unresolved physical or emotional event creates a structural residue.
These restrictions often result in the cumulative and gradual pain and dysfunction affecting all areas of your life.
CST seeks to eliminate these layered lesions to promote health and vitality.
At IPT & C, we offer physical therapy for almost all musculoskeletal pathologies from heads and necks all the way down to feet and toes.
Consistent with our philosophy, we treat from a holistic perspective: we treat the whole body and not isolated body parts.
As part of this process, we encourage our patients to become more aware of their bodies and all the subtle movements or postures that contribute to pain and dysfunction.
Our bodies are as old as we are; thus there are many subtle layers of restriction that have contributed to postural changes, compensatory movements, changes in biomechanics, weakness, and instability.
We offer general and relaxing full body massage.
We also offer very specific, deeper massage.
Techniques we use include myofascial release, cross-tissue, deep transverse friction, skin rolling, compression, effleurage (long relaxing strokes) and petrissage (kneading).
Lisa R. Hall, LMT is an impassioned massage therapist and values being part of each client's healthcare journey.
She is a 2006 graduate of Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and has taken many continuing education courses to support her professional growth.
Blend in elements of CBT, Gestalt, Rogerian, Existentialism, Solution-based therapy and others has needed.
I learned the close relationship between our body and our emotions; Thus, to this day, my approach is an integrated process addressing all that exists along the physical to an emotional continuum.
I understand the delicate and deep relationship the body has on emotions and emotions on the body.
I work closely with trauma and its impact on quality of life, the hard wiring of the brain and the areas of physical and emotional "entanglement".
