Services
We thank God for the vision that resulted in the incorporation and opening of Beth Hark Christian Counseling Center in 1985.
It started in the late 1970's, when the late Bishop Ezra N. Williams, Pastor Emeritus of Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc., shared, with the church's Executive Board, the need for a ministry that would allow a greater and more palpable expression of the love of God.
It was essential to tangibly facilitate the transformation of the lives of those who had been adversely impacted by drug abuse, poverty, homelessness, unemployment, etcetera by education, equipping and empowering them.
This service modality offers a person-centred, holistic approach to care that complements the care offered by other helping disciplines while paying particular attention to spiritual care.
The focus of pastoral care is upon the healing, guiding, supporting, reconciling, nurturing, liberating, and empowering of people in whatever situation they find themselves*.
Case management services are available to assist with applying for benefits and employment, assist with birth certificates and state identification, assist with transportation, and to make referrals to offsite organizations that provide drug counseling, vocational services, temporary and permanent housing, as well as on site referrals to community partners that provide psychiatric services, medical care and screening, legal assistance, and electronic submission for Medicaid and food stamps right from our office.
Without the dedication and tireless enthusiasm of our volunteers, BHCCC could not provide services to the community.
Volunteers are an integral part of our organization, and their contributions are invaluable and much appreciated.
From helping with food deliveries to helping serve food during the Soup Kitchen, BHCCC offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, companies, religious organizations, etc.
As the Executive Director of Beth-Hark Christian Counseling Center, Inc., Ms. Robinson provides oversight and leadership to the staff and volunteers, as well as day-to-day management of the fiscal, operational and administrative components of the organization.
Ms. Robinson also serves as the Church Business Administrator and Director, Human Resources for the sponsoring organization, Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc.
Born in New York and envisioning a medical career, he entered Brown University on a 7 year Medical Program.
Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. not only provides volunteers, Board Members, funds, space and other donations, but further infuses our work with profound meaning and reward.
Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. founded BHCCC in 1985.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to be a progeny of this Loving.
Learning, Launching and Liberating Church's dedication and involvement in its local and global community.
