I am a Cornell trained clinical psychologist in SoHo, Manhattan specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adults and adolescents coping with a variety of symptoms and life stressors.
I also have expertise in working with patients who are coping with chronic and acute medical conditions, having completed advanced training in behavioral medicine and psycho-oncology at such facilities as Weill Cornell Medical College, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Institute for Behavior Therapy, and Bellevue Hospital Cancer Center.I offer a warm, empathic, and collaborative approach to help individuals achieve their goals within a reasonable time frame.
I sometimes draw from schema, psychodynamic, meaning-based and mindfulness-based therapies to create a personalized program of treatment to best meet the needs of each individual. I've been seeing Julia for over a year now and she's fantastic! Not only does she take time to get to know you and to understand any issues you might have, she then proposes structured and thoughtful ways to help tackle these problems.

Services
My orientation is cognitive behavioral, and I sometimes draw from other approaches to best suit the needs of each individual.
These other approaches include schema, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based and meaning-based therapies.
My practice is diverse, but I find that the majority of my patients are in their 20s to 50s age and are coming to treatment for help with anxiety and/or depression as well as career and/or relationship concerns.
Many of my patients are new to CBT or want a different approach after being in traditional talk therapy.
