Teletherapy is the online delivery of mental health therapy services via live video conferencing, phone, email or text communication services.
Licensed Mental Health Counselors use traditional psychotherapy techniques and strategies using the latest technology software to deliver high-quality, clinically competent services.
Teletherapy sessions are scheduled in the same manner that face to face sessions are scheduled; a workable day and time are agreed upon for each party, who then log-in via an agreed, secure online platform.
Caren R. Avery is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and certified Counselor Educator with over 25 years experience.
She holds New York State certifications in both counseling and teaching.
Caren received a BME degree from Wheaton College, Il., and a MS in Counseling from Hofstra University, NY.
In addition to her private practice, Caren has worked as a mental health counselor and adjunct professor in the Counseling Department, General Studies Department, and Human Services Department of SUNY OCC.
