Lotus Counseling Services started with a vision and a passion to help girls develop into strong, confident, fearless, healthy women. The lotus flower grows from deep mud, through murky water, to produce a beautiful blossom. This symbolism is so powerful that we feel it perfectly represents the transformation we want our clients to experience. Our mission is to help all girls and women overcome any obstacles and adversities they are facing in order to achieve their goals.

Services
I accept Medicaid (under age 19 with primary physician referral), ALLKids, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, American Behavioral, United Healthcare, Cigna, and private pay.
I do offer a sliding scale fee as well as payment arrangements for all counseling services except for substance abuse assessments.
I offer individual and family counseling to address issues such as trauma, bullying, self esteem, depression, self injurious behavior, substance abuse, and teen pregnancy.

I am a Supervising Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S) in the state of Alabama and the owner of Lotus Counseling Services.
I received my MA degree from UAB in Community-Agency Counseling.
I specialize in women's issues, particularly trauma including sexual abuse/assault, sex trafficking, domestic violence, and overall life transitions such as pregnancy, parenting, college adjustment, and divorce.
With my background in Sociology, I am also able to factor in cultural, racial, and societal influences and those implications on a client's life and barriers to her achieving the goals she desires.

This is a very serious commitment from both the ALC and myself.
To be considered for supervision, you would need to schedule an interview and be prepared to discuss your professional counseling goals, how my particular expertise would benefit you, and you MUST ALREADY BE EMPLOYED in a counselor position.
Payment plans and fees will be discussed during the interview and agreed upon pending supervision is accepted.
