Life often feels like we are on a continuum. Finding ourselves on one end of the spectrum or the other. We are either experiencing one of two extremes: happy or sad, peaceful or anxious, decisive or conflicted, insecure or confident, satisfied with our lives or at the end of our ropes. The list goes on and on. Our perspective at Continuum Counseling and Consulting is that life is filled with many more gray areas than strictly black or white.
When we are allowing ourselves to live into who we are, who we want to be and take care of this gift, we can grasp that there is hope for whatever circumstance we may find ourselves in at the moment. Life can be in balance once again. Knowing each person is unique, we work with clients from that starting point, determining the most effective clinical course based on your needs.
Our practice is informed by a Family Systems Theoretical Approach, knowing we each have stories behind the stories we carry. Understanding who we are, where we came from and patterns that may be in place is an important part of becoming a truly authentic self in whatever systems you are a part of.
