With Trauma-Focused Intensive Therapy Sessions utilizing EMDR you can experience healing in days or weeks instead of months or years. I will respect you and work together with you, compassionately, to help you heal and move forward. Your emotional and psychological safety is my priority. Instead of meeting with a therapist once a week for an hour, you will be meeting with me in day-long sessions.

Longer blocks of time allow us to get more done, and much quicker. No watching the clock. No having to hurry up and spit something out, or worse, figure you'll just save something for next time and then you never get around to it. Day-long intensive therapy sessions are where you can feel safe to do the deep dive and work on clearing the trauma or grief that is clouding your life in a safe and comfortable environment with a competent, caring, professional.

You see, when you are a clinician and you go to trainings you have to work on something.
Since EMDR is a trauma resolution therapy technique, I had to look around inside me for something to work on.
And the more I looked, the more I found.
And it shocked me.
I had never, ever thought of myself as having trauma.
A few rough spots in my life?
My parents divorced before I was 5. I was bullied at age 7 by my step-sister and one of her friends when I was visiting my dad for the summer.
I was kicked in the mouth by a horse and had my jaw broken and teeth knocked out at age 13.
We will be doing our work together online.
I am so happy and grateful that we can connect this way, and EMDR is proving to be just as effective online.
We will review your history, your challenges, and your strengths.
We will talk some more about your goals for our work together, and your long-term goals, too.
Then we will dive in and get to work.
We will start our day at an agreed upon time, take a few breaks during the day as needed, and a break for lunch.
At the end of our time together we will review our progress and discuss our next steps.
The primary treatment modality I use is EMDR, which is a proven-effective trauma healing method that reduces the upsetting features of bad memories and traumatic images of past events that can disturb people for months, years, or even decades.
EMDR does not require a lot of talking during the process and you won't be required to do any homework.
EMDR allows the brain to process your trauma and resume its natural healing process through the use of bilateral stimulation including eye movements, sounds, or tapping.
My training, education, and experience are the tools you can use to get you where you want to go.
