The pursuit of self-exploration is a courageous one. Deeply Rooted Counseling Center (DRCC), founded by Ana Ramos, aids clients in finding the roots of their emotional pain and working through past traumas. DRCC believes that effective therapy addresses the whole of the individual - physical/biological, spiritual and psychological (mind/soul) - and that philosophy directs Ana's therapeutic approach.

Fueled by a rich background of social work, teaching, and therapy, I've developed a profound passion for helping people find the "roots" of their difficulties and joining them to make life-changing realizations about themselves and their world.
I am a licensed professional counselor with the state of Oregon.
After receiving an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Rutgers University, I spent four years working as a counselor with various populations.
I then transitioned into education after earning a teaching credential and worked as a classroom teacher for over 13 years.

While obtaining my training in graduate school, I had the opportunity to work with many individuals who sought therapy for various reasons.
I discovered many of those I worked with had experienced some underlying trauma that had not been resolved that was in some way informing their current distress and often, contributing to their relational problems.
I developed a passion for helping people identify the "roots" of their difficulties, pain and distress, and join them on their journey to healing and resolving these issues.
