Services
With over a decade in private practice, we each believe in offering a direct, compassion-filled approach that is practical.
We aim to make therapy a safe place with enough direction to produce real change in the life of our clients.
We are each passionate about serving our clients with truth and empathy to make real change last.
There is something powerful about the work of really dealing with the broken parts of our lives, relationships and stories.
When delicate pieces have shattered, the work of precious gold can meld them back together to be stronger and even more valuable than before the break.
Kevin received his master's degree in counseling from Denver Seminary and has been practicing in Colorado Springs for over a decade.
He has also led men's groups since 2003, beginning with leading groups at Heart to Heart under the supervision of Dr. Doug Weiss, a nationally renowned expert in the treatment of sexual addiction.
Kevin's expertise is in the areas of trauma, intimacy aversion, sexual addiction, self-esteem development, relationship boundaries, and issues associated with anxiety and depression.
Licensed through the state of Colorado, Jenni has been in private practice in northern Colorado Springs for over a decade.
One thing you will notice about Jenni is that she is an avid learner.
She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and she continues to participate in trainings and events in order to offer the best treatment possible.
She has also used this knowledge to write the curriculum for men dealing with the aftermath of affairs, to lead groups for sex addicts as well as for their partners, to teach courses on personal financial management, and to facilitate classes on personal boundaries.
Jaimee has spent the last eight years journeying with middle/high school teens and young adults during some of their most challenging years.
Through her own experiences at that stage, Jaimee realized the impact of having someone with whom you can be open.
She believes that peace and restoration can come from having someone you trust walk beside you to support, encourage, and challenge you through life's ups and downs.
Jaimee also has experience as a Registered Nurse and is currently pursuing a degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Real change happens when you feel safe and secure enough to take an honest assessment of your situation.
At Sojourn Counseling, that security starts with finding the right therapist to walk alongside you.
Sometimes it takes time to make sure you have the right guide for where you want to go and that you are comfortable before diving deep.
The approach to couples' counseling is unique at Sojourn Counseling.
You and your partner will each do a one-on-one sessions with Kevin or Jenni, and then the group meets collectively.
