Your body and nervous system already know how to heal when given the opportunity. In a safe space, we'll explore the root cause of your distress and address and alleviate what is blocking you from living the life you are meant to live. I believe "talk therapy" by itself is not enough to heal from trauma, resolve internal conflict, and nurture attachment wounds.
I integrate cognitive and experiential interventions to help you navigate issues in a profound way. The methods I use, including EMDR, are rooted in neuroscience, attachment psychology, body awareness, and mindfulness. As a somatic psychotherapist, I view the body, mind, and emotions as intricately connected and I weave all three in the healing process.
My telehealth practice conducts all sessions online through a HIPAA compliant video platform. I'm so glad you're here. Finding the right therapist is an important and empowering first step into your journey of healing. I work with adult clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, and chronic pain.

As a somatic psychotherapist I hold space for you to rest attention on your body, soothe the nervous system, and connect authentically with yourself.
There is nothing more empowering than being able to attune with yourself so fully that you access your own wisdom and strength to make lasting change.
A body-centered approach to therapy can help you go deeper with the work as it goes beyond traditional talk therapy.
Interventions target non-verbal, subconscious material and allows you to find new and adaptive ways of being in relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) was founded by Francine Shapiro and is a method of psychotherapy proven to effectively help people recover from trauma and other distressing experiences, such as anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
EMDR works by reconstructing the way traumatic memories are stored in the brain and body.
It moves unresolved or "stuck" memories so that they are processed and integrated as adaptive and functional memories.
Your brain already knows how to do this, but the overwhelming event disrupted this process.
