This is the home page for Caledonia Counseling, specializing in court-ordered counseling and trauma healing for the past 20 years in Colorado. I am happy to take on new clients on a private basis from Colorado, but unfortunately cannot take on new court-ordred cleints in Colorado. I will continue to serve my current clientelle through to the completion of their court-ordered therapy.

Caledonia Counseling is fully operational to provide essential mental health services during this current stressful situation. Your health, safety, and mental wellbeing, are paramount to me, therefore, I personally took significant measures to sanitize the office spaces for your comfort and peace of mind. Virual methods of delivering our therapuetic materials and generate discussions have been included.

For those with individual sessions, the office provides plenty of personal space to meet the current regulations we are asked to follow. Therefore, I am able to accommodate the needs of new clients and intakes.
Services
I worked in health and human services serving adults with developmental disabilities and adults with chronic mental illness following my Bachelor's degrees in Psychology from Texas A&M (1989).
These services covered both vocational training and community based residential support services for a dozen years prior to graduate school, both in Denver and in Glasgow, Scotland.
I continued my education and focused on child development by obtaining a Post-Graduate Diploma through the Open University of England (1997) and returned to Denver for my Master's degree of Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver (2003).
Client confidentiality is respected while reporting on treatment progress through monthly reports to probation / diversion referral sources.
Group fees are based on a sliding scale: $35-50 / group depending upon income, dependants, and financial situation.
Caledonia Counseling is NOT serving court-ordred clients at this time in Colorado or Hawai'i.

STAHRS was born on Valentine's Day 2018 to reach our youth and keep them out of the legal system.
Based on 20 years of family violence therapy, I can educate them to see the negative aspects of dating, marriage, and families that are "naturally" developed through "normal" socialization.
STAHRS can also help reduce bullying and the potential for mass violence and school shootings.
Domestic Violence has been associated with 54% of the mass shootings over the past two decades plus (reference: Everytown).
