Services
It can be difficult to seek mental health care and to find the right therapist.
My aim in meeting new clients is to provide a comfortable, welcoming, and relaxed space in which I can begin to get to know you.
My focus throughout therapy is to understand, appreciate, and respect your humanity and autonomy, while also inviting you to examine and challenge yourself in new ways.
I consider it a great privilege to do this work, and I am frequently amazed and inspired by what my clients accomplish.
Our work will begin with 1-3 sessions of assessment, which is a great time for you to determine whether our partnership is the right fit for you.

Whether it's stopping a detrimental habit, making decisions, or starting to engage in a new healthy behavior (e.g., exercise, weight management), it is common to struggle with motivation and to have mixed feelings about change.
When we struggle in this way, we may unfairly question our competence, abilities, and fortitude, or even experience feelings of hopelessness or despair.
It is often helpful to discuss these mixed feelings and self-judgments in a space where you can freely express them.
When doing this work, I aim to identify and help activate your inner desire for change, and provide accountability for you to take steps toward change on your own terms.

Specific PTSD treatments, including Prolonged Exposure, Written Exposure Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
Our work will begin with an intake assessment, which may be conducted over multiple sessions and may involve the use of a semi-structured diagnostic assessment tool (i.e., the CAPS-5 for PTSD).
If you desire, our therapeutic work will center on changing your behavior in a direction that is more aligned with your deeply held values.
Identifying your life's direction means that our therapy may come to focus on existential and spiritual issues and facilitate reconnection with life-affirming spiritual practices outside of therapy (e.g., meditation, movement, creative endeavors, connection with nature, participation in religious or spiritual communities).
