Dr. Harvey is founder and Executive Director of NCWC.
He holds a doctorate through Concordia University, Portland and earned his master's in counseling from the University of Iowa. Since establishing NCWC in 1996, John has promoted the integration of Eastern healing methods with conventional substance abuse and mental health treatment. John is trained in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), auricular acupuncture for substance use disorders, and is a trainer for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol.
John has taught at Texas State University and St. Edwards University professional counseling programs.
