It means so much to me that you would take a few minutes to explore Uplift and Recover, the website. I believe in the power of change and each person's ability to achieve progress. My approaches are strength based and person centered. I use motivational interviewing as a counseling method to explore goals with my clients, in combination with the use of Cognitive Behavior based modalities to explore how thoughts effect our behaviors, mood, self-esteem and our relationships with others.
I have also begun using EMDR to treat trauma and assist individuals in working through negative cognitions that effect their human experience. The mission of Uplift and Recover LLC is to provide hope and encouragement that uplifts and inspires individuals to develop insight and take action. The goal of mental health counseling is to improve an individual's quality of life by reducing, and/or coping with symptoms that interfere with daily living.
