We are a public, non-profit, organization that provides affordable, confidential, and state-of-the-art counseling and crisis intervention, parent education and prevention services to young people and families in the Larchmont and Mamaroneck communities. We have successfully helped over 40,000 of your friends and neighbors since 1970. Our Circle program uses the principles and techniques of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to help participants develop greater self-awareness and manage intense emotions.

Services
After 18+ months of losing the reins on ourselves and our children now is the time to take them back!
Join us as we talk about how.
One of the easiest, most neglected, yet most powerful things you can do for your child is to be a safe and steady presence for them.
We don't have to fix things, we don't have to give advice or cheer them on.
We simply need to be there for them.
How do we let our kids know that we are there?
We validate their feelings.
Our kids need to know that it is okay to feel whatever it is that they are feeling.

Groups are led in various formats with lots of hands on activities, and opportunities for students to share life experiences while gaining increased skill sets in the areas of coping and problem solving.
The goal of all prevention work is to increase awareness and practice of healthy coping in a student's life, and decrease potential risk factors that may contribute to later substance use and/or abuse, and other unhealthy risk-taking behaviors.

The Parent Center works in partnership with our local community of parents to provide services that enhance knowledge and awareness on subjects of interest, strengthen the bonds of community and support and professional assessment and intervention for families in need.
The Parent Center runs monthly parent support groups that are designed around the interests and needs of the parents in each group.
We encourage parents to gather together a group of their friends, or the parents of their children's friends, to meet monthly with a professional leader.

The Parent Circle was a great way to connect with other families experiencing similar challenges to ours and learn new skills to successfully parent our son.
The classes made me a more mindful parent and made me feel more in control at home.
And I love the leaders!
