Our therapists are committed to serving the River Falls and surrounding communities so you can access quality mental health care without driving a long distance. With excellent education and experience, our staff can be trusted to handle what you bring to them with compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality. Multiple payment options - insurance, private pay, and master's level intern rates - help make therapy affordable, no matter what your situation.

Sometimes it can be hard to know what you need, and that's ok; ultimately, the choice is up to you. Maybe you are not even sure if you want to change, or maybe you are ready to start making changes immediately. Whichever place you find yourself, you are welcome to call for a free consultation. If you've never attended a therapy session, you might be wondering what it's like.

Your first session is a time to start getting to know your therapist, and for him or her to begin to hear your story. Marriage and Family Therapists are interested in how all the pieces of your history fit together, so he or she will ask questions to try to help form a foundation to build upon.

For over two decades, Brian has walked alongside adolescents and their families in a variety of settings in the St. Croix Valley.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stout's Marriage and Family Therapy program, Brian founded Adulteen Counseling with the hope of offering support to teens, adults, and families through quality yet affordable counseling, seminars, and parent groups.
Known in the area for his expertise in adolescent transition to adulthood, Brian also specializes in parent-child relationships, emotional trauma, high-conflict marriages, and relational conflict.
Therapy is not a luxury, but a vital part of health and well-being.
Making counseling affordable for as many families as possible is important to us at Adulteen Counseling.
When utilizing insurance benefits to pay for counseling, it is important to know what your plan covers.
Please be sure to call the member services number on the back of your insurance card to verify that your therapist is in-network with your insurance plan, and what your co-pay, co-insurance, and deductible are, to help you determine what you will pay per session (if anything).
We all know that taking care of ourselves is important and often spend great amounts of time, energy, and money caring for our bodies.
Our internal world is just as important as the external (if not more so) as it defines who we are as individuals and in relationship to others.
Yet all too often we wait until we are in crisis to address what's going on inside.
Whether you are currently in the middle of a personal crisis, trying to prevent one, or just seeking to be as healthy as possible, Adulteen Counseling therapists are here to walk with you and help you reach a better place.
Adults and teens aren't the only ones who need support from time to time.
Children today are facing many of the same pressures, anxieties, and traumas as adults, but without the benefit of years of life to help give them perspective.
At Adulteen Counseling, you can know that your son or daughter will receive excellent care in the areas in which they are struggling, yielding a brighter future for your child.
Today's families are faced with many stressors and hardships, and when problems arise, resources to help seem difficult to find.
Thankfully, family therapy with a trusted counselor can help your family learn how to understand each other better, and ultimately create a stronger and more loving dynamic at home.
Whether you are raising young children, teens, young adults, or even working through issues with parents or siblings, Adulteen Counseling is here to give guidance and hope that things can get better.
