We are wired to connect. We function and feel our best when we're connected to ourselves, to each other and to the world around us. Pain and struggle come in many forms, but most can be traced to an area where we feel disconnected. As therapists, we have made a conscious choice to make connecting with others and forming healthy relationships our life's work.

Through attentive listening and encouragement, we will guide you to connect more deeply with yourself and others. We create a safe, non-judgemental space to explore even the parts of yourself that bring up feelings of guilt, shame or sadness. Talking about your hopes and your goals as well your struggles and your strengths helps to clarify and affirm them.

Goals of couple's therapy almost always involve improving communication and increasing connection. We will help your child understand and express their feelings in ways that make sense to both of you. Adolescence has always been a turbulent stage and today's teens have more pressures and distractions than ever.
Services
I believe people deserve to enjoy all of what life has to offer.
I work really well with children and adolescents who worry too much or are really hard on themselves.
I also work with adults who want to overcome feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness.
In addition to psychotherapy, I provide Neurofeedback training.
Neurofeedback helps people sleep better, have better mood and energy, and improve their attention.
I am passionate about helping people make positive changes in their lives.
I work with individual adults, couples, and teens to identify goals and create more satisfaction, happiness, and fulfillment in their lives.

Individual work is a good starting point for anyone who is hoping to make changes in themselves or in their relationships.
If both partners are ready to make changes in themselves that will improve the communication, intimacy, and connection in their relationship, couple's counseling can be extremely effective.
For nearly 15 years now, I have studied and practiced the Science of Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am so excited to work with families in Danville and the surrounding communities.
Among my areas of expertise are family counseling, couples counseling and individual counseling for mild/moderate depression and anxiety.
I specialize in working with teens as I am passionate about guiding and inspiring healthy social and emotional development during this time of growth.
In my counseling work, I strive to offer a safe physical and emotional space where people can be their true selves and explore the opportunity for change and growth in their lives.
If you're experiencing some level of depression and anxiety, first know that you're in good company.
These two struggles often go hand in hand.
The negative thinking, decrease of energy and lack of motivation that are common symptoms of depression inevitably affect your ability to get things done, which can lead to anxiety.
On the other hand, the inability to focus, racing thoughts and erratic heartbeat that are examples of the kinds of symptoms that come with anxiety can exhaust and overwhelm us to the point of depression.
We look to our partners to meet our needs, and often we are disappointed in the results.
It's very common for couples to come into therapy blaming each other and wanting to set goals for each other.
Goals of couple's therapy almost always involve improving communication and increasing connection.
Couples function at their best and have the most satisfying relationships when both partners set intentions that will help them reach these goals.
