The Thrift Station
Discovery Counseling Center pledges to be a mental health agency of full inclusion where staff, clients and members of our community can thrive. The board of directors has amended Discovery Counseling Center's by-laws and added a standing committee that includes staff and board members to address on an on-going basis issues of diversity, inclusion and equity at our agency.

As the American Psychological Association urges all mental health professionals, WE MUST UNMUTE. Discovery Counseling Center of the San Ramon Valley strongly condemns recent acts of racist-motivated murder, harassment, intimidation, verbal and physical attacks and microaggressions against our fellow Asian and Asian American community members. Our thoughts, grief and sympathy go out to the victims, their families, our staff and the community we serve here in the San Ramon Valley.

At Discovery Counseling Center, we have committed to build a mental health agency of full inclusion that embraces the values of diversity and equity, but it is clear that we all need to do much more to stop the hate.
