Mind, body, spirit, and community - they all play a vital role in a happy and healthy life. When any one suffers, The Samaritan Counseling Center (SCC) is here to provide healing. We believe everyone should have access to quality professional counseling services. Starting in 1997, SCC formed a place to serve thousands of individuals and families of all economic backgrounds in the River Region.

As a faith-informed counseling center and nationally accredited by the Solihten Institute, we help those struggling with mental health issues, marriage and family conflicts, addictions, traumas or broken relationships. If you're hurting, and need someone to talk to, we want you to know that hope and healing are open to you.
Services
Those dealing with mental health issues; families struggling to heal broken relationships; employees battling substance abuse and addiction - they all have a place to go for help: The Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc.
What began in 1997 as part of a plan by First United Methodist Church of Montgomery to lead the church into the new millennium quickly grew to offer assistance to all in the River Region in need of quality professional counseling services.
After affiliating with the Samaritan Institute (currently the Solihten Institute) of Denver, Colorado, The Samaritan Counseling Center (SCC) opened to the public in fall 1999 - its central offices located on the second floor of the FUMC education building.
The Samaritan Counseling Center (SCC) offers services from a faith-informed, family-friendly worldview while integrating the medical community and spiritual aspects of each client's life - whatever their faith tradition or lack thereof, respecting the dignity of individual differences.
As clinicians, we work with individuals, couples, families, groups, adults, children, adolescents, single-parent families and stepfamilies struggling with a variety of issues - and match the right mental health counselor to their specific needs.
The Board of Directors of the Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc. represents a large cross-section of the community, religious and business leadership in the River Region.
We gratefully acknowledge the service and dedication of these men and women.
Their efforts are crucial in our mission to continue to provide quality mental health and education services to the entire community.
The Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc. (SCC) has served thousands of individuals and families of all age groups and economic backgrounds in the River Region.
If you need help to address personal issues - including those harming your personal, family and work relationships - we invite you to call us.
