Please Note: I am not currently accepting new clients and will be out on maternity leave from mid December through the end of March. I will begin returning emails in mid March for scheduling purposes. Are you going through a change? Having trouble adjusting and feeling alone in doing so? Are you tired, worn down, and done trying to put on a "good face" to make it seem like you have it all together?
Guess what, NONE of us do, and that's okay. Sometimes we need support to get through tough times. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, lost or alone, you've come to the right place. Hi! I'm Kimberly, recovering perfection mask wearer, who also happens to be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with women, teens and couples who know they can't keep going down the same road.
Maybe you're struggling with a recent transition in life, anxiety, loss or relationship issues. It's uncomfortable to feel like things are out of your control. I'm here to support you and help you get back to feeling your best.

Services
I help people who want to live more fulfilled lives.
Sometimes this boils down to relationships with others but more importantly and most often, with self.
When people come to see me for anxiety, a transition in life, being a new Mom, loss, or trauma, they are desperate to feel better.
No one wants to live with chest tightness, a racing heartbeat, or negative thoughts, but letting that anxiety go can also feel scary because it's helped "keep us safe" and guide us for so long.
My clients tell me they feel understood and that I "get them."

It's a vulnerable place to show your true self.
I foster a warm, supportive and welcoming environment.
You might feel hesitant or unsure if you can let it all out, but I would ask if you can afford to NOT let it out, to NOT get help, and to continue living in the repetition, dissatisfaction, or pain you are right now.
It is my belief that it takes strength and courage to know when and how to ask for help.
We are not meant to handle everything on our own in this world.
Reaching out to ask someone to walk beside you, support you and offer an objective perspective is HEALTHY.

Are you struggling?
Needing some support?
Life can be hard at times!
Yes, it can be beautiful and wonderful and we can feel blessed.
AND we can struggle too.
Changes come at us all the time, some wanted, some unwanted, and during times of transition it's normal to feel MANY things.
Often times it's not just our emotions that feel overwhelming, but also our physical body and mind get wrapped into that as well.
Are you having a tough time right now? Are you experiencing anxiety, sadness, restlessness, tightness in your chest or shoulders, difficulty sleeping, difficulty concentrating, low energy or motivation, or isolation?

I approach couples work from "the ground up" as I call it, meaning we start with the basics.
When the most basic fundamentals of your relationship are met, it's easier to work through conflict.
I didn't say "easy."
I said "easier."
Instead of yelling or arguing, the couples who work with me learn not only to be better communicators, but also to be better listeners.
Because at the end of the day isn't that what we all want?
To be heard, understood and validated.
When greater understanding happens, greater connection happens.
