I am a mental health professional in solo-practice in Columbus, Ohio, who uses a strengths-based approach to help clients develop integrity in both their personal and professional lives by overcoming emotional and mental barriers. As an experienced administrator I went back to school in mid-life to use my skills for two causes that I deeply believe in, namely social work and mental health.
For the past 10 to 15 years, I have had the opportunity to train and work in numerous mental health settings. These include OSU Harding Hospital, Columbus Suicide Prevention Hotline, community mental health agencies, a charter high school for inner-city teens and a residential home for troubled adolescents.
Recently, I spent two years in a private group practice of independent therapists, further honing my skills in individual, couples and family therapy, while completing two certifications, one in trauma treatment (EMDR), and one in wellness and preventive care.My new solo practice draws not only on my mental health education and training, but also on my own professional experience in law, mediation and administration.
