I am a Preferred Provider on two panels: Aetna and Anthem and soon, Blue Shield. My decision to join these panels is to help clients get the services they wish and need. My commitment remains to be part of an ethical and successful dialogue between clients and myself. My philosophy of psychotherapy is that it is a collaborative commitment to improve life and functioning.

I am eclectic in my approach and believe in working in the modality which promotes healing and improvement. I am happy to work with other professionals in the community to create an active team dedicated to the wellbeing of each person or people in therapy. New groups have been established to teach social skills to clients with autism. A professor at UCLA's Semel Institute has had success in helping young adults read facial expressions and to interact socially.

See Bonnie for more information about this program. Dr. Corman has a doctorate in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, a Masters in English and a Masters in Counseling.

It is an interactive process between therapist and client.
It is a unique relationship which requires concentration and effort and although much of it is serious, there may be moments of laughter as well.
Although I am psychodynamic in my thinking, I often use cognitive and behavioral strategies.
